Comments

I bought this car in January of 2003. At the time I was looking for a pristine 1994 or 1995 MR2 Turbo with that had not been modified. I soon found out how hard it was to find a clean, stock 94T/95T with low miles. A friend of mine had a license to bid at insurance auctions and he pointed this car out to me. It had been involved in a light collision in the rear and I was really attracted to how desirable the damage would be to repair. I previewed the car before bidding on it and was by far more pleased with the condition of this car than anything I had seen for sale locally or on the internet. Long story short, I won the car at auction and brought it home. I am friends with a local body shop owner who has been in business for over 30 years . He and I repaired the damage with all new OEM parts from Toyota. We then proceeded to do an EXTENSIVE and highly detailed color change to the car at the same time. I went with Starry Mica Blue which was used on special edition 2002-2003 Miata’s. Finally, I spent 60+ hours wet-sanding, buffing and final glaze polishing the paint job to a perfect finish. We also made an effort to update the car to an OEM ’98 spec’ look.
